Common Ground Ministries strives to promote reconciliation and unity between different groups, cultures, races, nationalities and socio-economic classes, so that we can see our community united and thriving in its many diverse areas.
"So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another..."
- Romans 12:5 -
Aesop, a Greek writer near 580 BC wrote these words, “United we stand, divided we fall.” In 1768 John Dickinson used these same words in his revolutionary war song, “The Liberty Song.” He did this to encourage his countrymen to join hand in hand and unite to fight for a common cause. George Washington, at the time of the start of the Constitution, quoted these same words knowing how important it was not to be divided in their decisions.
We know, understand, and agree that we may have differences of perspective on various disputable issues. These ideas have been taught to each one of us as truth, and this has historically brought division to the Body of Christ. Our purpose is to help ministries, non-profits, and faith base organizations, with respect for those differences, to unite on an unshakable common ground.
We believe that God has called each one of us to stand on the promise of what Jesus said:
"I am the way, the truth, and the life.
No one comes to the Father
except through Me."
- John 14:6 -
With integrity, we will stand alongside each other in prayer and support.
It is time to reach our world, starting with our local communities.
